What inspired you to pursue this degree?

“What inspired me to pursue this degree was initially a desire to enhance my managerial skills. However, the journey has revealed far more than I anticipated. It has ignited a curiosity within me to explore new areas and has heightened my awareness of the ever-evolving nature of the business environment. I’ve come to understand the crucial role of managers not only in evolving themselves but also in empowering their employees. Rather than merely managing them, it’s about equipping them with the right tools and mindset to enable their growth and development.”

In what ways do you feel this programme has helped you grow personally and professionally?

“The programme has been instrumental in fostering a profound appetite for learning within me, both on a personal and professional level. Through this experience, I’ve become more keenly aware of the importance of continuous growth and development. It has motivated me to actively seek out opportunities for learning, whether it’s expanding my knowledge within my field or exploring new areas of interest. Personally, it has enriched my life by instilling a sense of curiosity and exploration, while professionally, it has equipped me with the tools and mindset necessary to thrive in an ever-evolving landscape. Overall, the programme has been transformative, empowering me to embrace lifelong learning as a cornerstone of both my personal and professional development.”

What advice would you give to prospective students considering studying toward a structured master’s degree in Engineering Management?

“Firstly, it’s crucial to prioritize effective time management right from the start and to stay consistently up to date with coursework and assignments. This will help in managing the workload efficiently and ensuring a successful academic journey.

Secondly, I highly encourage learners not to confine themselves solely to the required lecture work. Instead, view it as a foundational framework upon which to build deeper exploration.”
